【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesastandardprocedureforthepreparationofthermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialtestspecimenspriortotestingforvariouspropertiesascalledforinthegoverningspecification.Specimensthatarepreparedusingthisstandardmethodologyyieldtestresultsthatareconsistentwiththematerialfromwhichitwassampled.Testresultsfromspecimenscanbeusedtodeterminecomplianceofthethermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialtothespecification.Thissamplepreparationguidecanalsobeusedbymanufacturersofthesematerialstopreparespecimensfortestingtodeterminetheuniformityofthermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialsfrombatchtobatch.Thispracticedoesnotaddressanyissuesrelatedtospecifictestingofthethermoplasticpavementmarkingmaterialsforanyphysicalorchemicalproperty.1.1Thispracticecoverstheproperpreparationoftestspecimensofthermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialsobtainedtoensuretestresultsarerepresentativeofthematerialbeingtested.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
