【摘要】:1.1GeneralThefieldbusApplicationLayer(FAL)providesuserprogramswithameanstoaccessthefieldbuscommunicationenvironment.Inthisrespect,theFALcanbeviewedasa“windowbetweencorrespondingapplicationprograms.”Thisstandardprovidescommonelementsforbasictime-criticalandnon-time-criticalmessagingcommunicationsbetweenapplicationprogramsinanautomationenvironmentandmaterialspecifictoType11fieldbus.Theterm“time-critical”isusedtorepresentthepresenceofatime-window,withinwhichoneormorespecifiedactionsarerequiredtobecompletedwithsomedefinedlevelofcertainty.Failuretocompletespecifiedactionswithinthetimewindowrisksfailureoftheapplicationsrequestingtheactions,withattendantrisktoequipment,plantandpossiblyhumanlife.1.2SpecificationsTheprincipalobjectiveofthisstandardistospecifythesyntaxandbehavioroftheapplicationlayerprotocolthatconveystheapplicationlayerservicesdefinedinIEC61158-5-11.Asecondaryobjectiveistoprovidemigrationpathsfrompreviously-existingindustrialcommunicationsprotocols.ItisthislatterobjectivewhichgivesrisetothediversityofprotocolsstandardizedinpartsoftheIEC61158-6series.1.3ConformanceThisstandarddoesnotspecifyindividualimplementationsorproducts,nordoesitconstraintheimplementationsofapplicationlayerentitieswithinindustrialautomationsystems.Thereisnoconformanceofequipmenttotheapplicationlayerservicedefinitionstandard.Instead,conformanceisachievedthroughimplementationofthisapplicationlayerprotocolspecification.
