【摘要】:Chlorideionishighlydetrimentaltothevalves,flanges,piping,etc.ofstainlesssteelandcopper-bearingalloysemployedincertaintypesoffacilities,suchasnuclearandchemicalplants.Therefore,theamountofchlorideionthatcanbeleachedfrompackingandgasketingmaterialsusedinthesefacilitiesmustbecontrolledcloselyforpreventionofdamage.Thistestmethodissuitableformanufacturingcontrolandforverifyingthatthepackingandgasketingmaterialmeetsspecifications.Itisassumedthattheusersofthistestmethodwillbeanalystscapableofperformingcommonlaboratoryproceduresskillfullyandsafely.ItisrecommendedthattheworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratoryunderappropriatequalitycontrolpracticessuchasthosedescribedinGuideE882.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesforthemeasurementofchlorideionleachedfromflexiblegraphite,asbestos,orpaper-basedpackingandgasketingmaterials.Samplescontaining7to6700x03BC;gCl-/gsamplecanbeanalyzedwiththisprocedure.Theupperconcentrationlimitcanbeextendedbydilutionofthetestsolution.1.2Itistheresponsibilityoftheanalysttoensurethevalidityofthistestmethodforotherpackingorgasketingmaterials.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecificwarningstatementisgivenin8.3.
