【摘要】:Thispracticewasdevelopedforelectric-arcfurnacegraphiteelectrodes,andcoversaprocedureandequipmentforobtainingcoresamplesfromelectrodesinamannerthatdoesnotdestroytheelectrodenorpreventitssubsequentuseasoriginallyintended.However,theminimumelectrodediameter,forwhichextractionofacoresampleusingthispracticedoesnotinfluencesubsequentuse,isinfluencedbytheparticularapplicationandmustbedeterminedbytheuser.Graphiteelectrodesforuseinelectricarcfurnacesareusuallysolidcylindersofgraphitewiththreadedsocketsmachinedineachend.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-ThefollowingASTMstandardsarenotedassourcesofusefulinformation:TestMethodsC559,C611,C651,C747,C1025,andC1039.

【摘要】:Newpolymermaterialsformalecondomsarebeingdeveloped.Thisstandardisintendedtodescribethetestmethodswhoseresultsshalladequatelydescribethedesignandthequalityofthecondoms.Thesetestmethodsarenotintendedtobedesignormaterialrestrictive.Thedesignrequirementsforeachmaterialareuniquetothatmaterialandshallbevalidatedpriortouse.p>1.1Thesetestmethodscoverandshallbeusedtoevaluatemalecondomsmadeofvarioussyntheticmaterials.Thesetestmethodsalsodescribetheminimuminspectionandqualitylevelsthatshallbeutilizedinrefereetests.Itisnotintendedtobearoutinequalitycontrolspecificationforsyntheticcondommanufacturingoperations.1.2Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoassistbuyersinobtainingsyntheticcondomsofconsistentquality.Thesafeandproperuseofsyntheticcondomsisexcludedfromthescopeofthesetestmethods.1.3Theannexesinthesetestmethodsincludeimportantinformation,suchasthatonapparatusormaterials,thatisamandatorypartofthesetestmethodsbuttoodetailedforinclusioninthemaintext.1.4Theappendixesinthesetestmethodscontaininformationintendedtoprovideguidance.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
