【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthefabricationofnewwireboundgeneralpurpose(GP)panelboard(hereafterreferredtoaswireboundboxes)shippingboxesintendedforuseascontainersfordomesticandoverseasshipmentofgeneralmaterialsandsupplies,notexceeding500lb[226.8kg]forclass1domestic,400lb[181.4kg]forClass2overseasshipmentsor300lb[136.0kg]forClass3extremedistributionhazardconditionsormilitarycontingencypurposes.1.2Wireboundboxperformanceisdependentonitsfabricatedcomponents;therefore,avarietyoftypes,classes,styles,andtreatmentsreflectingvariedperformancearespecified.Thisspecificationdoesnotcoverwireboundboxperformanceunderallatmosphere,handling,shipping,andstorageconditions.WireboundboxesincompliancewithHazardousMaterialModalRegulationsorUnitedStatesCodeofFederalRegulations(CFRs)arefoundintheSupplementaryRequirements.1.3Theuseofotherconstructionmethodsortechniquesareacceptableandshallbepermitted,providedtheresultingpackagingsystemsareofequalorbetterperformancethanwouldresultfromtheuseofthesespecifiedmaterialsandprocedures.TheappropriatePracticeD4169distributioncycle(s)canbeusedtodevelopcomparativeproceduresandcriteria.1.4Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninbracketsaremathematical.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.SeeIEEE/SI10forconversionofunits.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
